Introduction
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Associate (On Campus) for Human Resources.
Responsibilities
You will assist as a business partner in HR functions for assigned areas i.e. recruitment, benefit administration and compensation management.
Specifically you will be responsible to:
- Check position control to ensure that all the hiring is in accordance with budget and necessary approvals
- Prepare advertisements, screen applications received, forward to the concerned department heads and arrange interviews
- Assist in preparing an offer for the selected candidate by running a comparative analysis of on-board staff to ensure internal pay equity
- Ensure timely processing of staff compensation, including salary increases and other adjustments as per institutional guidelines and approved budgets.
- Supervise activities related to employees benefits administration including confirmation of employment, contract extensions, leaves, statutory benefits, retirement and resignations
- Process all on-boarding activities for newly hired staff
- Update employee records, both physical and electronic, on a timely basis
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and special projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, with a minimum of two years relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with diverse groups of people;
- Ability to diplomatically handle difficult/sensitive issues or candidates and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of HR practices
- Good analytical and negotiating skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English;
- Proficiency in computer software packages, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure and a self-driven person
