Job Role / Responsibilities:
The Department of Radiology offers a comprehensive range of highly sophisticated imaging tests and procedures that are conducted in a welcoming environment that focuses on quality and patient comfort. The diagnostic services are supported by advanced, state-of-the-art technologies like 3T MRI, 640 slice CT, Mammography, Bone density, Nuclear Imaging, Interventional services, general x-rays, etc. The department is dedicated to patient services and imaging excellence through highest professional and technological standards. The department maintains state-of-the-art technology imaging services to provide our physicians and patients with the most accurate, timely and informative results.
Major duties and responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to the following:
Supervise technical team in the department.
Carry out radiology procedures as and when required.
Ensure that section is manned during its operational hours and during emergencies.
Make sure proper working of all the radiology equipment and report breakdowns immediately.
Ensure application of proper quality assurance procedures in section.
Ensure staff follows quality principles and safety requirements with compliance to radiation monitoring.
Prepared for and participate in department inspection and audits.
Act as Quality control officer for section assigned.
Ensure proper orientation of all staff joining the section.
Teach, train and develop trainee radiographers and junior radiographers.
Keep abreast with the applicable institution and departmental policies and protocols and ensure the same for staff in the section.
Participate in the development and review phase of departmental policies and protocols.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
B.sc (Masters Preferred)
Qualified Radiographer from a recognized institution.
10 – 12 Years of related work experience including 4-6 years of supervisory experience.
Good leadership qualities and must possess supervisory skills.
Ability to train staff / student.
Ability to achieve the desire targets within the allocated time frame.
Good knowledge of diagnostic radiology equipment.
Ability to handle conflicts and resolve them appropriately.
